Partial spoiler warning for those who have yet to read the book.

If there were ever a movie adaptation for ‘The Way of Shadows’ by Brent Weeks then I sincerely hope that at least one these actors makes it to the audition:

Noah Schnapp to play Azoth/ Young Kylar Stern

 

Noah would play as Azoth in the beginning of the movie up until he’s fourteen, and also during flashbacks.

Cole Sprouse to play an older Kylar Stern

 

Cole would play Kylar once he turned sixteen and would continue to represent Kylar’s character for the rest of the movie. He’s a near perfect representation of Kylar, the only thing I would change is his hair and eye color, he should have pale blue eyes with white blond hair.

Keanu Reeves to play Durzo Blint

 

Keanu would represent Durzo throughout the movie, I personally like the long haired, clean shaven appearance best.

Scarlett Johansson to play Momma K/Gwinvere Kirena

 

Scarlett would represent Momma K throughout the movie.

Amber Heard to play Vonda Kirena

 

Amber would play Momma K’s sister and would only appear in the first part of the movie, during flashbacks.

Madeleine McGraw to play Doll Girl/Young Elene

 

Madeleine would represent Doll Girl and would only appear in the first half of the movie and in flashbacks. The only thing to change would be Madeleine’s eyes; they should be a dark brown instead of blue.

Emma Watson to play an older Elene Cromwyll

 

Emma would play an older Elene and would appear throughout the rest of the movie.

Jeremy Ray Taylor to play Rat/Young Roth Ursuul 

 

Jeremy would play Rat for the first bit of the movie and then only appear in flashbacks. The only thing to change would be his hair color which should be black.

Russell Brand as Roth Ursuul

 

Russell will play Roth for the remainder of the film.

Jaden Smith to play a young Jarl

 

Jaden will represent Jarl when he was younger and will only appear in the first half of the movie.

Sendhil Ramamurthy to play an older Jarl

 

Sendhil would play Jarl in the later stages of the movie.

Liam Neeson to play Duke Regnus Gyre

Liam would represent Duke Gyre for the entirety of the movie.

Nicole Kidman to play Catrinna Gyre

 

Nicole will play Catrinna, Duke Gyre’s wife, for the duration of the movie.

Gage Munroe to  play a young Logan Gyre

Gage will play Logan while he is still a youth and will also appear in flashbacks

Chris Evans to play an older Logan Gyre

 

Chris will play Logan for the majority of the film, taking over for Gage once Logan turns sixteen.

Josh Brolin to play General Brant Agon

 

Josh will represent General Brant for the duration of the film.

Viggo Mortensen to play Hu Gibbet

Viggo will play Hu Gibbet for the duration of the movie.

Elena Satine to play Vi Savori

 

Elena would represent Vi for the duration of the movie.
