100 Days of Productivity Challenge: Days 43 through 49

‘The secret of getting ahead is getting started’ – Mark Twain

What is the 100 Days of Productivity challenge?

The 100 Days of productivity challenge is exactly what it sounds like.  Put simply, it encourages individuals to choose at least one productive task to attempt on the daily, for a 100 consecutive days.

The large majority choose to document their progress through social media, with tumblr being one of the most active communities to do so.

It is distinguished by the use the hashtag #100daysofproductivity; however this step is not strictly necessary and is largely left up to preference.

Once you join this challenge, you are expected to tailor it in such a way to suit your needs and aspirations.

How you perform your tasks is completely up to you as there is no set routine to follow.  It is wholly dependent on your day to day schedule, allowing it to be far more lenient and customizable.

A Quick Note on My Personal Challenge

Now as I progress through this challenge, I will be posting weekly updates on this blog and on my tumblr account (audere-noctu).

Allow me to briefly explain what I am studying, just to add a bit of clarity to the situation.

I am high school senior, bound for Medical School and am currently finishing my last stretch of secondary school in the following weeks.

The subjects I am currently studying are:

  1. University level Advanced Mathematical Functions
  2. University level Kinesiology
  3. University level English
  4. University level Ancient History After the Fifteenth Century
  5. University Level Chemistry

These are the subjects that remain before I graduate in a few weeks, and most of my day to day activities will encompass them.

Week 5

Day 43 – Wednesday, January 31, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Start the Musculoskeletal Analysis Assignment for Kinesiology.
  • Work on University Applications.

Reflection:

Relatively productive day.

I finished up some work for Uni applications and then worked on Kinesiology.

I started working on the assignment and tried to finish the assignment but since I’m writing an essay that involves a lot of anatomy, getting all the facts right is taking me longer than I expected.

I’d consider this to be a good start to the week.

Day 44– Monday, February 3, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Finish the Musculoskeletal Analysis Assignment for Kinesiology.

Reflection:

It’s finished, it’s finally finished.

After 24 pages, 2600 words, 2 pages worth of citations and 16 anatomical diagrams, the Musculoskeletal Analysis Assignment is done.

To say that I’ll riot if I don’t get a 100% on this is an understatement.

(P.S. I did get a 100%, so no need to dig up the pitchforks)

Day 45 – Wednesday, February 5, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Work the Colombian Exchange Assignment for History
  • Finish and submit the outline for your essay on Napoleon for History
  • Start the Mid-Point Summative Assignment for History

Reflection:

I wrote the introduction for the Colombian Exchange Assignment and got my paper and sources set up.

Day 46 – Tuesday, February 11, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Finish the Mid-Point Summative Assignment for History

Reflection:

Well, after catching a nasty bug going around and being sick for exactly one week, I’m back in business.

I’m still a little under the weather, but I managed to finish an assignment for history, so that’s a plus.

Day 47 – Wednesday, February 12, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Finish and submit the outline for your essay on Napoleon for History
  • Finish the Colombian Exchange Assignment for History

Reflection:

It took forever, but I finished the Colombian Exchange Assignment, and it was a nightmare but it’s over so thank god for that.

Day 48 – Friday, February 14, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Study Chemical Systems and Equilibrium

Reflection:

Did 2 lessons in Chemistry.

Day 49 – Thursday, February 20, 2020

What I planned to achieve:

  • Finish the Inter-war year’s Assignment for History

Reflection:

Finished and submitted an 8-page essay about the Interbellum period that took place between the World Wars. It was interesting, to say the least.

Weekly Reflection:

I’ve managed to finish the majority of my history course in the past 2 weeks, as my course deadline was approaching.

Now I only have 3 assignments left before I can write the exam!

I’ve written more essays in these past few days than I ever thought I could be capable of.

The end is near, I can feel it.
