About

My guests of honour, I graciously welcome to The Paper Life!

So you might be wondering,  what exactly is this place?

Well, I like to think of it as my assorted archive of books, stories, photography, you name it.

The Paper Life is a blog where readers can find and enjoy book reviews and recommendations, short stories, writing advice, personal photography; the list goes on.

I originally started this blog on a whim because I had so many ideas that I wanted to share with other like minded people, but I lacked the platform to do so.

Then, a dear friend suggested that I start something of my own and that’s exactly what I did with this site.

I love to read, and writing is one of my passions. I also quite recently started trying my hand at photography and decided that this was as good a place as any to get feedback.

I wanted to share my ideas and opinions with all of you wonderful bookworms (or dragons, whichever you prefer), aspiring artists and frustrated writers out there.

It is my sincerest hope that you all can find a little something joyful, here in my growing collection and that you enjoy your visit.

A Bit About Me (in case you were wondering)

Like any overdramatic student, I prefer to keep a sense of mystery about my person, which means that you my lovely readers have the pleasure of using my pen-name, Hale.

I’ve often been described as a pretentious, moderately obsessive and somewhat disgruntled writer who has an affinity for obscure and questionable interests.

I have a cat (you saw that coming, I’m sure) named Misty, who will forever look perpetually terrified, but is spoiled rotten; and I have a habit of buying more books and academia than I will ever have the time to read.
